About us.

Born and raised in Texas. Helped family owned businesses wearing multiple hats as I got older. The one hat that I found interest in was the world of information technology(IT). Our IT director at the rehab clinic I managed left. Instead of hiring someone else, I put on that hat as well. Even though growing up I was always interested in computers and at the age of 13 worked the entire summer to buy my first computer for myself. As my IT career was growing, I had some difficult challenges to overcome as a new system administrator. Although I had worked along side our IT director, I still was new and learning.

After a few large projects such as demoting a domain controller, moving active director, and decommissioning the old server I decided I wanted to take the next step in my IT career. I put out some feelers and left working for family business after 10+ years. I immediately jumped into working for a managed service provider(MSP), all while still continuing to be the system administrator for my families business on nights and wekeends. As I developed my skills I was offered a job at another IT MSP that I originally wanted to work at when branching out. At the new MSP I was able to obtain a few certifications including Microsoft Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, VM Ware Certified Professional, and VM Solutions Associate in Data Center Virtualization.

IT Cowboy was just a joke at first. We moved to Colorado, and after almost 2 years we moved out to the country and purchased 40 acres in a dream of having our own ranch. Growing up with horses and knowing how to rope and ride, my wife would tease calling me the IT Cowboy when neighbors and friends would ask for IT help.
